Kyocera Australia becomes second Platinum Partner of WatchGuard Technologies
Wed, 20th Mar 2024

WatchGuard Technologies, a specialist in security, has announced the appointment of Kyocera Australia as a second Platinum Partner in the territories of Australia and New Zealand. The association aims at bolstering the already strong cooperation between the two companies in Japan, where Kyocera has been a Platinum Partner of WatchGuard Technologies since 2018.

This successful partnership has seen Kyocera incorporate the WatchGuard Firebox high-performance firewall into their multifunction printer device business, providing customers with enterprise-level security. This service will now be repeated in Australia, permitting Kyocera Australia to provide not only robust performance and cost-effective printing but also enhanced customer security. As part of establishing this partnership, Kyocera went through WatchGuard certification to authenticate its Platinum Partner status in Australia and New Zealand.

Mark Vella, Head of Marketing & Business Planning, Kyocera Australia, offered his perspective on this strategic alliance. He said, "Kyocera is committed to managing our products and services with the most advanced security technologies available for our customers. We take our customer's information security extremely seriously and fathom that in today's rapidly evolving business landscape, we're compelled to offer the most rewarding experiences that stand unmatched in the industry."

Vella added, "Collaborating with WatchGuard Technologies will instill added confidence in customers regarding the secure transportation of their documents and enable them to carry out digital transactions without any hitches. Both will be powered by leading firewall technology."

Kyocera Australia is set to offer the WatchGuard Firebox T-25W SD-WAN ready appliance, perfect for customers with a few users and simple networking needs including remote virtual offices and home offices. Also on offer will be the WatchGuard Firebox T-45CW firewall, tailored for small to midsize organisations requiring a device with substantial throughput and enterprise-grade security. Both packages will include comprehensive network security services and will come with standard 24x7 support provided by WatchGuard.

Anthony Daniel, Regional Director Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands, WatchGuard Technologies, voiced his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We have a fantastic relationship with Kyocera in Japan and look forward to mirroring this association in Australia. At the same time, we are thrilled to tap into the digital business skills and experience of the company and its Huon IT expert managed services and cybersecurity organisation."

Daniel added, "This partnership brings forth unrivaled synergies, particularly from a channel alliance perspective and from the combined solutions capability. Coupled with Kyocera's extensive reach across Australia and New Zealand, we're looking forward to better serving businesses in these regions."

As a part of being a WatchGuard Technologies Platinum Partner, Kyocera Australia will receive a dedicated WatchGuard executive sponsor and will also be entitled to an on-site visit from WatchGuard for integration, marketing, and sales planning.
